PPS+GF (Glass Fiber Reinforced PPS): High heat, FR, dimensionally stable
High heat: typical continuous service around ~200 °C with retained mechanical strength.
Flame retardant & chemical resistance: many grades meet UL 94 V-0 (grade-dependent) with broad chemical compatibility.
High stiffness & low creep: glass fiber boosts modulus and long-term dimensional stability.
Electrical insulation: stable dielectric behavior for high-temp insulating parts (values vary with GF content).
~200 °C continuous Flame retardant (UL 94 V-0*) High stiffness / stability Low creep Chemical resistance / insulation
*Actual FR rating depends on grade and thickness.
Applications
- Electronics & electrical: connectors, coil formers, insulator bases, contact supports
- Automotive under-the-hood: sensor brackets, throttle bodies, controller housings
- Pumps & valves: chemical-resistant housings and isolators
- Industrial structures: jigs/fixtures, rigid supports, wear guides
For ultra-pure or direct chemical contact, prefer PFA/PTFE or unfilled PEEK specialty grades.
Selection highlights
- PPS+GF: high-temp FR & stability → E/E insulators, under-hood structures, pump/valve parts.
- PPS (unfilled): lower shrink & better surface → mid-high temp parts needing more toughness.
- PEEK / PEEK+GF: higher heat & strength → extreme, high-load environments.
- PVDF / PFA / PTFE: top chemical resistance & cleanliness → wet process and fluid contact.
- PEI: high heat + dielectric stability → high-temp insulating housings.
