PEEK+GF (Glass Fibre Reinforced PEEK): High-Rigidity, Low-Creep, Heat-Resistant Engineering Plastic
High Heat Resistance: Inherits PEEK’s high-temperature performance with ~240°C continuous use while retaining mechanical strength at temperature.
High Rigidity & Dimensional Stability: Glass fibre raises modulus and reduces thermal expansion & deformation for better precision.
Low Creep & Wear Resistance: Minimal long-term deformation under load; wear/scratch resistant for jigs and sliding parts.
Chemical Resistance & Insulation: Broad chemical resistance from PEEK; good dielectric properties (may vary with GF content).
~240°C Continuous Use High Rigidity / Strength Low Creep Dimensional Stability Wear / Chemical Resistance
Application Industries
- Semiconductor equipment structures (non-direct contact with ultrapure chemicals: supports, carriers, jigs/fixtures)
- Aerospace & industrial jigs/fixtures (high-rigidity, low-creep positioning parts)
- Automotive electronics / under-hood parts (heat-resistant structures, control housings)
- General industrial wear parts (guides, sliders, covers)
Note: For ultrapure or direct chemical contact, unfilled PEEK / PFA / PTFE or special-grade materials are typically preferred.
Material Selection Highlights
- PEEK+GF: high rigidity, low creep / wear → high-temperature precision structures, jigs and wear-guiding parts.
- PEEK (unfilled): high heat + better purity/impact → chemical-contact parts and versatile precision components.
- PEEK+CF: even higher rigidity with thermal / electrical conduction → stiff lightweight structures (assess conductivity).
- PFA / PTFE: chemical inertness / ultrapure → wet processes and sealing/insulation components.
- PPS / PVDF: chemical resistance + processability / cost → E/E components and chemical piping accessories.
- PP / RENY / PEI: choose per need for lightweight / high strength / high heat.
