PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide): Heat Resistant, Flame Retardant, Chemical Resistant
Heat resistance: long-term service temperature around 200°C with high strength and stiffness retention.
Flame retardancy: inherent UL94 V-0, stable after thermal aging.
Chemical resistance: excellent against acids, bases, fuels and solvents; low moisture uptake and dimensional stability.
Electrical insulation: favorable dielectric properties for high-temperature E/E components.
~200°C long-term heat UL94 V-0 (inherent) Excellent chemical resistance Low moisture / dimensional stability Electrical insulation
Applications
- E/E parts (connectors, bobbins, insulators)
- Automotive under-the-hood (pump housings, valve bodies, sensor brackets)
- Chemical fluid handling (corrosion-resistant pumps/valves, fittings)
- Industrial devices and appliances
Material selection tips
- PPS / PPS+GF: heat/FR/chem-resistant → high-temp E/E & automotive structural parts.
- PEEK / PEEK+GF: higher strength & wear → precision structures and long-load parts.
- PVDF / PTFE / PFA: high-purity / extreme chem-resistance → wet process & ultra-pure media.
- PP / PP+GF: lightweight / economical → general chemical-resistant structures.
