Reconnecting with Ourselves Through Nature

In the middle of our busy work lives, it's easy to get caught up in deadlines and daily responsibilities. Sometimes, we forget to take a moment to care for ourselves.

To help everyone unwind and recharge, our company recently organized a forest therapy experience, "A Breath of Nature at Neidong." The goal was simple: step away from work, slow down, and enjoy the healing power of nature through a variety of mindfulness and sensory activities.

🍃 Checking In with Ourselves

The day began with a simple stress assessment.

Using stress test strips, everyone had a chance to learn more about their current stress levels and reflect on their overall well-being before starting the journey.

🌲 Exploring the Forest with All Five Senses

Guided by a certified forest therapy instructor, we walked along the beautiful forest trails of Neidong, surrounded by flowing streams, birdsong, and the sounds of nature.

To help us relax, the instructor applied essential oils to our palms and guided us through a series of breathing and mindfulness exercises. The gentle scent and peaceful atmosphere helped everyone gradually let go of tension.

Later, we were each given a card with a simple shape and invited to find matching patterns in nature. This fun activity encouraged us to slow down, observe our surroundings more carefully, and discover details we might otherwise overlook.

💧 Quiet Moments by the Waterfall

One of the highlights of the day was spending time near the waterfall.

Sitting quietly together, listening to the flowing water and breathing in the fresh forest air, we practiced meditation and mindfulness. It was a chance to clear our minds, reconnect with ourselves, and simply enjoy the calmness of the moment.

🌿 Handmade Herbal Sachets

To end the experience, everyone created their own herbal sachet.

By gently crushing and mixing aromatic herbs, we released their natural fragrance before wrapping them into small fabric bundles.

These herbal sachets can be used at home for relaxation, massage, or warm compresses—bringing a little piece of the forest back into everyday life.

Nature offers more than beautiful scenery—it provides space to pause, breathe, and recharge.

Through this forest therapy experience, we were reminded of the importance of slowing down, being present, and taking care of our physical and mental well-being.
