High Temperature Chemical Resistance Semiconductor / Precision Manufacturer / Supplier

Benefits & Typical Applications

Cross recessed pan head plastic screws are commonly used where a Phillips drive is preferred and stable fastening is required under chemical exposure or electrical insulation constraints. Compared with metal screws, engineering plastic fasteners help you achieve:

  • Corrosion resistance for acids, alkalis, and process chemicals
  • (for chemical equipment and wet process systems).
  • Electrical insulation and low thermal conductivity
  • (for electrical/electronic modules and sensor mounts).
  • Lightweight design and metal-ion control
  • (for semiconductor and precision equipment).
  • Self-lubrication, low wear, or low particle generation
  • (depending on TPI, PTFE, PFA, etc.).

By selecting the right material, you can optimize fastener performance for temperature range, chemical media, mechanical load, and cleanliness requirements.

Common Selection Scenarios

High-Temperature Fastening

For long-term operation around 150–260°C or thermal cycling, consider PEEK, PEEK+GF, PPS, PPS+GF, self-lubricating TPI, PTFE, and PFA.

Chemical Resistance & Wet Processes

For acids/alkalis, oxidizers, organic solvents, or semiconductor wet processes, PVDF, PTFE, PFA, PCTFE, and selected PEEK/PPS grades are often evaluated for chemical compatibility and structural strength.

Self-Lubrication, Low Friction & Lightweight

When you need lower wear, fewer particles, or no added lubricants, self-lubricating TPI, PTFE, and selected engineering plastics can deliver low friction performance while keeping the lightweight advantage of plastics.

Material Selection Guide|Long-term Service Temperature & Applications

Material Selection: Various materials are available according to different environments and temperature requirements.

PEEK |Long-term use temperature 240℃

PEEK is a semi-crystalline engineering plastic suitable for high temperature and chemical solvent processes. It is tough, rigid, creep-resistant, light-resistant, and multi-ray resistant.

Screws, nuts, and spare parts made of PEEK are widely used in semiconductor equipment, aerospace, automotive electronics and motor applications, oil/gas extraction equipment, as well as medical and food production equipment.

PPS |Long-term use temperature 200℃

PPS is a thermoplastic special engineering plastic featuring high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and high mechanical strength, with stable electrical properties and dimensional stability.

Suitable for electronic/electrical parts, automotive parts, and chemical machinery parts.

PVDF |Long-term use temperature 150℃

PVDF is a thermoplastic fluoropolymer with excellent chemical resistance, weather resistance, high temperature resistance, electrical insulation, lubrication, and wear resistance.

Suitable for acid/alkali solvent environments, semiconductor manufacturing, wet chemical processes, and equipment parts in the chemical industry.

PP |Long-term use temperature 90℃

PP features excellent stretch ability, chemical resistance, hydrolysis resistance, and electrical properties.

Suitable for various chemical environments, food production equipment, and pharmaceutical machinery parts.

PPGF |Long-term use temperature 120℃

PPGF is PP reinforced with glass fiber to increase strength. It offers excellent chemical resistance, high purity, low water absorption, good electrical insulation, and higher temperature resistance.

PPS+GF |Long-term use temperature 240℃

PPS reinforced with glass fiber improves strength and temperature resistance. Its properties show no degradation after long-term use in high temperature environments.

With corrosion resistance, high mechanical properties, electrical properties, and dimensional stability, it is suitable for electronic/electrical parts, automotive parts, and chemical machinery parts.

RENY |Long-term use temperature 105℃

RENY is a high-temperature resistant nylon engineering plastic reinforced with glass fiber, offering excellent oil resistance and heat resistance.

Widely used in automobiles, machinery, precision mechanical parts, electrical/electronic equipment, and civil engineering/construction materials.

PVC |Long-term use temperature 60℃

PVC is resistant to acids and alkalis, offers excellent electrical insulation, high mechanical strength, and good weather resistance.

Commonly used for mechanical components exposed to chemical processes or outdoor equipment parts such as building materials, packaging, medical applications, wires, and cables.

TPI (Self-lubricating) |Long-term use temperature -269~280℃

TPI offers excellent heat resistance, wear resistance, and friction performance under high pressure and high-speed scraping, low outgassing under high vacuum, excellent chemical resistance and mechanical properties, outstanding dimensional stability, and low electrical conductivity.

PTFE |Long-term use temperature -190~260℃

PTFE is a fluorine-based resin resistant to most chemicals and solvents. With excellent electrical properties, non-stick characteristics, and lubricity, it is widely used in high temperature, chemical, electrical, mechanical, and aviation fields.

PCTFE |Long-term use temperature -200~200℃

PCTFE is a fluoropolymer featuring low/high temperature resistance, chemical resistance, low permeability, and weather resistance, widely used in semiconductor process equipment parts.

PEEK+GF |Long-term use temperature 260℃

PEEK reinforced with glass fiber improves rigidity and increases temperature resistance. It can withstand long-term use up to 260°C and is suitable for thermal performance, chemical performance, and flame resistance (V-0).

PFA |Long-term use temperature 260℃

PFA offers low/high temperature resistance (-200°C~260°C), chemical resistance, weather resistance, and excellent mechanical strength. Widely used in pharmaceutical equipment or semiconductor wet process equipment related parts.
